The Louziba Gr can be subdivided into three lithologic members. Lower member is dominated by greenish gray meta-fine-grained sandstone intercalated with phyllite, meta-siltstone and chert, the phyllite in its upper part locally bears minor magnetite and its top part is more than 60 m of chert. Middle member consists of greenish gray medium-bedded meta-siltstone intercalated with calcareous sandstone, phyllite, slate, chert, locally with lenses of meta-marl. Upper member is composed of greenish gray meta-fine sandstone, siltstone and phyllite intercalated with thin-bedded chert. The top part, bearing phosphorus, occasionally bears black carbonaceous phyllite. The Louziba Group his flat-beddings and obvious rhythmites. The total thickness is more than 6317 m.

Clayey sandstone
